CHIODO COFFEE was started by Kathy Chiodo in 2026 as she entered a new era in her working life. After wearing many hats, first as a Parachute Rigger in the Navy, then as a Medical Assistant working in hospital laboratories, and then as a Dog Trainer / Operator of Chiodo Kennels, along with volunteering as a Search and Rescue Dog Handler, the one constant was the appreciation of a good cup of coffee to get every day started at full steam. Unsatisfied with store coffees, she spent many years roasting her own beans, first in just a iron wok over an open fire, then with a stove top popper, patiently waiting for the opportunity to get a drum roaster and jump into providing fresh on order coffee beans. That finally happened as she downsized her life, selling her kennel and living a very different lifestyle in the hills of Hardy County, West Virginia. The coffee you will be buying here was happily roasted in a Aillio Bullet R2 PRO, a induction type drum roaster geared for small batches.
Mission
We will provide online customers with made to order single source quality coffee beans, roasted on the day you order. Also to provide local coffee shops with WV roasted beans.
